Avera Cancer Institute at Fox Run

This upgrade to the current cancer institute at Avera Fox Run will create a state-of-the-art facility with advanced cancer care options. The building features a linear accelerator vault, which houses a highly specialized cancer treatment technology that uses precise beams to target tumors while minimizing impact to surrounding healthy tissues. A $12 million project, this single-story, 21,000 sq. ft. facility also includes more infusion bays, an in-house compounding pharmacy for chemotherapy drug preparation, a dedicated CT scanner, and a laboratory for testing and analysis. Exterior upgrades include an extended front entry with a canopy and an expanded parking lot to better serve patients and families. The new institute will significantly increase capacity and comfort, creating a patient-centered cancer treatment facility for the community.
