Avera Marshall Pharmacy

This $2.55 million project includes a 1,194 sq. ft. addition and a full interior remodel of approximately 1,500 sq. ft., converting existing shell space in the Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center into a state-of-the-art compounding pharmacy. Now relocated from the third floor to the first, the new pharmacy is positioned closer to the Avera Cancer Institute to streamline the transport of medications for cancer treatment. Designed to meet strict safety and quality standards, the pharmacy includes ISO-classified cleanrooms (ISO 7 and ISO 8 ante room) for sterile compounding, as well as positive and negative air pressure rooms to help control contamination risks. A dedicated air handling system, pressure monitoring, and environmental controls ensure a highly controlled and secure environment for pharmacists to safely prepare life-saving medications.
