Kirkeby Over Stadium

The Kirkeby Over Stadium was constructed in 2007 for Augustana College.

This project consisted of a 4,341 seat precast, masonry, structural steel and concrete stadium.

This football only stadium includes presidential and patron skyboxes, press boxes, and coaching offices overlooking a recessed state of the art synthetic turf football field. Students, staff, alumni, and community members admire the high tech Daktronics video board while watching their Augie Vikings roll over the competition. Constructed with 4,341 home and visitor seats the recessed bowl design allows over 1,000 additional fans to relax and enjoy games from the grass covered amphitheatre areas surrounding the field. The Kirkeby Over Stadium brings football, which has been absent from campus for over 50 years, back to the campus of Augustana College.

The construction manager at risk delivery system was selected for this project. This delivery system allowed for the successful completion of an expedited and phased project schedule. The CMr delivery system also granted the owner access to their construction professional early in the design process.

The Journey Construction Team brought collaboration, technical expertise, scheduling, project coordination, and most of all a construction professional and team member that was counted on throughout the entire design and construction process.
