SDSU Alumni Center

Attached to the Jerome J. Lohr building along Medary Avenue, the South Dakota State University Alumni Center houses both SDSU Foundation and Alumni Association. Journey Construction was chosen by the Foundation to be their Construction Manager At Risk partner to help lead the project team through preconstruction, construction, and owner occupancy.

The alumni center is a two story 16,000 sq. ft. extension to the Jerome J. Lohr building that Journey Construction Professionals constructed over ten years earlier. Alumni Center functions including; event space, offices, reception hall, commercial kitchen, hall of fame, and conference rooms. Concrete foundations support a structural steel frame with aluminum storefront, metal panels, and brick veneer skin. The interior spaces are highlighted with an abundance of natural light as well as warm and inviting finishes.
