Sioux Falls Regional Airport Concourse Expansion

The Sioux Falls Regional Airport expansion project is a joint venture with The Weitz Company, adding a new two-story, podium-style concourse to the airport. With the addition of four new passenger gates and boarding bridges, this project will enhance the traveler experience and accommodate future growth. The 30,000 sq. ft. expansion will also include additional concession areas, new restrooms, increased gate seating, and improved circulation spaces. With a mix of precast, steel, and mass timber elements, the structure will reflect both durability and modern design. Construction will take place within an active airport environment, requiring careful coordination to maintain daily operations and ensure safety. With estimated completion in April 2027, the expanded concourse will reduce congestion, improve passenger comfort, and provide more seating, amenities, and services, benefiting both the local Sioux Falls community and all who travel through the region.
