Sioux Falls Regional Airport Concourse Expansion

The Sioux Falls Regional Airport expansion project is a joint venture with The Weitz Company, adding a new two-story, podium-style concourse to the airport. The new concourse will provide up to five new gates and approximately 57,000 sq. ft. of passenger seating and circulation space, helping accommodate continued passenger growth and future air service opportunities. The expansion will also include additional concession areas, new restrooms, increased gate seating, and improved circulation spaces. With a mix of precast, steel, and mass timber elements, the structure will reflect both durability and modern design. Construction will take place within an active airport environment, requiring careful coordination to maintain daily operations and ensure safety. With estimated completion of the first phase in March 2027, the expanded concourse will reduce congestion, improve passenger comfort, and create opportunities for additional destinations and increased flight frequency, benefiting both the Sioux Falls community and travelers throughout the region.
