Tyson Foods - CO2 Stunning & Crax Building Additions

This $3.23 million project upgraded Tyson Foods’ harvest process in Perry, Iowa, with the construction of two building additions designed to house new CO₂ stunning equipment. The scope included a precast structure with two deep cast-in-place concrete pits to support the updated stunning operation, delivering a safer, more humane, and efficient process for both employees and livestock.

Tight site constraints and the need to maintain full plant production required careful planning and close coordination throughout construction. The result is a facility enhancement that reduces animal stress, improves product quality, and provides long-term cost savings for the client.
