Avera Women's & Children's Tower

This new addition to Avera Health is part of the largest building project in Avera’s history. Located at the Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center, the new six-story Women’s and Children’s Tower celebrated its groundbreaking in October 2024. This facility will serve as a new and welcoming entrance for the Avera McKennan location, as well as create a space that is uniquely dedicated to providing care to the women and children in the Sioux Falls and surrounding community. In addition to the top-of-the-line medical equipment and modern design, the building will house 158 new beds to accommodate even more patients. With services ranging from labor and delivery, postpartum care, newborn nursery, neonatal intensive care, and more, the Women’s and Children’s Tower will support the Avera community in their continuous mission to provide vital care to the people in our region.
