Turner County Courthouse

Turner County Courthouse

The new Turner County Courthouse is a 32,726 sq. ft. facility designed to enhance public access to legal and civic services while also memorializing the original courthouse that previously stood on this site. The two-story building will include modern courtrooms, interview and conference rooms, secure evidence and drug storage, and dedicated public assembly spaces such as a community room and board room. Built with safety, accessibility, and functionality in mind, the courthouse will feature a secure elevator core, multiple egress paths, and a fully sprinklered fire protection system. Special features in this design include a jury break room with an adjoining patio, a skylight-lit corridor, and high-quality interior finishes such as wood veneer ceilings, graphic vinyl wall coverings, and terrazzo flooring. Built to meet ADA and ICC accessibility standards, the new courthouse reflects Turner County’s commitment to inclusivity, public service, and long-term community growth. This $15.5 million project is expected to reach completion in August 2026.
